South Magazine Ad/40 Volume Salon-Savannah, GA Photographer

I'm extremely proud to announce...
40 Volume Salon's, South Magazine Ad that I shot last Thursday evening for the Oct/Nov issue! This is the salon's 2nd time running an ad in South and to be a part of this again, I was flattered! I'm so excited and can't wait to get my very own issue. So here's what to look for in next month's South Mag...

Thanks Michelle, you ROCK!

Is it making fun of people who live in their cars?

I decided to publish the above comment so I could answer it to the shallow person that wrote it. Anonymous, if you are going to ask a question like this...at least have the descency to leave your name! As for the Ad, if that's what the message says to you, so sorry! Remember I shot the photo for the salon, it's their marketing not mine. I was contracted as the PHOTOGRAPHER!!

Another "Anonymous" has to agree with the first "Anonymous" This ad is silly and in bad taste. I think as a hired contractor, I would want to know the content of the ad my work was being featured in. It is also awkwardly written.

I am sorry if our Ad is offending anyone, we were merely just trying to lighten the mood. We understand that times are tough however we just want to remind people to take care of themselves and not let the current economy get them down.

I follow your blog, but don't normally comment, but when I saw this....
I LOVE THE AD!!!
This "anonymous" must live in a pretty "the glass is half empty" world with little artistic vision. Congratulations because at least you know they follow your work! It appears some must not be able to paint their world with the broad brush you possess, instead find themselves painted into a corner??? Envy at its finest!!!

Keep "painting" and be proud!

I follow your blog to and have to say, I like the photo, well done, but I don't the think the ad makes any sense at all. I have looked at it for a few minuets and can't figure out what living in a car has to do with looking pretty. It does seem kinda offensive. Just my 2 cents. It's a great photo Krista. Keep up the good work!

Krista: I think you have produced a wonderful and fantastic Ad with individuality, enthusiasm, and creativity. Man, I bet 40Volume is ecstatic to have recieved such creative photography. Way to do your job/passion!!

40Volume: It is very refreshing to see creative humor in an Ad, especially at the present time with so much negativity in society. Everyone needs to smile sometimes, even the grumpiest of us.

Awesome collaboration to create an eye-catching and quirky Ad!!!

love it,
Joy H.
